1:30 pm Welcome
1:45 pm Workshop: *Discovering the Goal of the Christian Life: Personal and Corporate Transformation – Tim Seid*
When we read the letters of Paul, not as theological treatises but as letters of moral exhortation, we discover Paul was more concerned with the quality of our lives as followers of Jesus than he was about the content of our beliefs. The way we live and think within a community of believers can strengthen our ability to cope in the world and develop our character. Beyond our allegiance to Christ comes our imitation of his endurance of suffering and testing, his concern for the care of others, and the peace and blessedness of participation in the divine life. We need to know what the goal is and how to achieve it together.
