ESR is excited to welcome C. Wess Daniels to campus during the week of October 7th as our Fall 2013 Friend in Residence. Wess has been the released minister at Camas Friends Church since May 2009. He enjoys the work of pastoral care within a Quaker meeting. He has a BA from Malone College in Bible and Theology, a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a PhD in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Public Events

Tuesday, October 8th:

Common Meal
Wess will present the program: Convers(at)ions  
He will discuss how building bridges of dialogue and participation pave the way to conversion within the self and our communities. 

Lunch begins at 11:20 and is $7 per person at the door, the program will begin at noon

Meet & Greet Reception 
3-4 pm in the ESR Center gathering area
All are welcome and refreshments will be served

Wednesday, October 9th

Programmed worship from 11:20 am - 12 pm in the Quigg worship room
Wess will bring the message,
faithful Betrayal: Learning to Soar (John 12:24)

Friday, October 11th

Workshop: Remixing Tradition: A Convergent Model of Hope
12:00 - 3:00 pm

This workshop is free and lunch is provided

Bio:

C. Wess Daniels has been the released minister at Camas Friends Church since May 2009. Wess enjoys the work of pastoral care within a Quaker meeting. He has a BA from Malone College in Bible and Theology, a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a PhD in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. He hopes to one day teach Quaker Theology and Contemporary Culture, while still serving in pastoral ministry. He leads workshops and does speaking engagements on Quaker history and theology, and mission in contemporary culture. He is motivated by God’s heart and care for the disenfranchised in our society.
