A few key anecdotes and quotes define most introduction to Quakerism membership classes. What about Quakerism 102? When we move beyond the basic statements that define Friends’ understanding of the Gospel, what does it mean to worship and live as a Friend?

 

Friendship with God: The Heart of Prayer – Stephanie Ford

 

Our first and greatest friendship is often hidden from view, and so we may overlook it or find it hard to cultivate within the multitude of outward life tasks. Together we will explore how we may better tend our life in God, this friendship of friendships in the uniqueness of our daily experience.

What sets Quaker preachers apart from other preachers? How does Friends' theology form and inform Quaker preaching?

 

Creating Vitality within the Local Congregation -- Jay Marshall

 

Many churches and meetings have fond memories of an admirable heritage, but struggle with maintaining vital worship, strong membership, and passionate ministry. This workshop identifies common features shared by vital congregations and offers strategies for creating a energized and committed communities of faith.
