Prospective Student Open House 2010

If you are considering ESR’s MA or MDiv program, whether Residential or Access, we invite you to join us for a day in the life of our seminary.

Prospective Student Open House
Friday, April 16, 2010
9:00 am-5:00 pm

Highlights include:

  • Tours of ESR/Bethany Theological Seminaries and Earlham College
  • Educational mini-course sessions to introduce you to our faculty
  • A joint worship experience with students from both ESR and our partner Bethany Theological Seminary
  • Introductions to ESR’s dean, the faculty, administrators and current ESR students
  • Nourishment for body and soul
  • Excellent company of peers also seeking information regarding graduate seminary programs

We encourage you to bring a spouse/partner/travel companion and will provide meals and lodging for both of you.  We offer courtesy lodging for two nights (either Thursday and Friday, or Friday and Saturday) at sites of our choosing to the first twenty-five students registered.  First registered will be lodged in a block of rooms reserved at the Quaker Hill Conference Center (http://www.qhcc.org/).  Quaker Hill Conference Center is willing to have you extend your stay over a third evening at your own expense if desired.

If you prefer other forms of lodging at your own expense, contact Gail Bingham, Admissions Secretary, who is able to provide suggestions for local hotels and hospitality.

This Open house coincides with a visit by religious scholar John Dominic Crossan, who will be giving lectures Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday evening.  We hope that you’ll join ESR current students, faculty, alumni, and visitors for these events.  For more information on this event, please see the Events page.

To register, please contact us or complete the online Open House Registration Form.
